Friday April 15

So it looks like this Friday may be one of the most open for debate. Nothing too big coming out so the choices are wide open.

The front runners are probably (by category):

Action/adventure: Sahara
Horror: The Amityville Horror
Comedy: Guess Who or possibly Fever Pitch*

Let the voting begin!

* Fever Pitch is only an option if the fact it is a Farrelly Brothers movie can outweigh it's inherent "chick flick" qualifications, seeing to the best of my knowledge, Scarlett Johansson is not in the cast.

It looks like Sahara has won by a vote of 2.5 to 1. So the details for today's movie are:

Time: 10:20
Place: SKC

As a non-blogger I would suggest Sahara. Sure it seems unbelievable but coupled with the hot chick factor and some bonefied action sequences, it would seem the most likely choice for the HMFMMC. Of course you could change the name to the Most-likely-but-not-sure-if-we-are-Men.-Mens-Movie-Club and see fever pitch but as already noted, with a lack of Scarlett, I think you will agree.

Have fun!!

I think "Sahara" is going to suck eggs. However "The Amityville Horror" is looking good.
I know Rat and Rat Jr. are looking forward to "Sahara", so we may have to split up.

Since Sahara is over 30% at rotten tomatoes you must go if that is the choice.

Look at me blog!!
Well I guess seeing another Van Wilder dog masturbation scene would be considered both exciting and shocking to some, I figure since I have seen the original there wouldn't be much point seeing another Hollywood rehash.

My $0.02, wait that might have even been $0.04 but keep the change. Either way just hoping I can go.

Even though Amity is ahead on the Tomatometer by 20% its only ahead on the ratings by .7 (at 5.9 vs Sahara's 5.2). That may change since it only has about 8 reviews but the time for voting is now.

Since it looks doubtful that either is going to set a new cinematic standard for excellence, I'll have to put my vote in for action/adventure movie, Sahara.
